Carnal Reason

Over at PoliPundit you can pick up some javascript that lets your website run a counter of the number of days since John Kerry promised on television to sign form form SF-180. His signature would authorize the release of his complete military records.

I thought about putting up a counter, but it seems pointless. Hell will freeze over before Kerry signs. He has something to hide, and he will continue to hide it.

Besides, Kerry is old news. His delusions notwithstanding, John Kerry will never be President of the United States. He is a windsock whose sole talent lies in marrying rich women. His moment in the spotlight has passed.

By 2008 Kerry will be no more viable than Walter Mondale. The near certain 08 Democratic nominee is Hillary Clinton. Should Kerry somehow pose a challenge to her candidacy, the mainstream media will suddenly remember that the Swiftboat vets were not given a fair hearing in 04. They will start demanding that Kerry sign the SF-180, and might even expose whatever he has been hiding all this time.

This scenario is unlikely. Kerry has neither the intelligence, the discipline, nor the balls to challenge Hillary. She is a piranha who would chew him to bloody bits, and he knows it.
