What we have here is a failure to communicate

We had a spot of jihad lite at one of the local universities, UNC Chapel Hill.

Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar, 22, is charged with nine counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to cause bodily injury. Police say he drove an SUV through a crowd of students gathered at The Pit. Six people were treated at the hospital for minor injuries. Three others refused treatment at the scene.

Derek Poarch, chief of the university’s police department, confirmed Saturday that Taheri-azar, a native of Iran, told investigators he wanted to “avenge the deaths or murders of Muslims around the world.”

Someone told me that it was ironic that Taheri-azar staged his attack at such a notoriously liberal school. The implication being that Taheri-azar bungled his choice of victims. He should have headed on over to a Baptist bible college, or a local synagogue. He could have run down someone who actually deserved it, say some Republicans.

That’s a pretty damn condescending attitude if you ask me. Typical Western arrogance, questioning what it does not understand. Taheri-azar knew what he was doing. Imagine you see a roach in the kitchen. Do you stop to investigate whether it is a an enlightened roach, a fellow traveller roach? Or do you kill it? An infidel is an infidel is an infidel. It is a good thing to kill any infidel, but it is an amusing thing to kill infidels who crave nothing more than to be accepted, to be free of the guilt of being American, or white, or hetero, or whatever. Killing liberals earns additional style points.

Meanwhile, the BBC reports that

Cities across India are on high alert, a day after twin bomb blasts rocked the holy city of Varanasi. Fourteen people are confirmed dead in the blasts at a Hindu temple and a railway station and 105 were injured, state officials told the BBC. Some reports put the death toll at more than 20 but this cannot be confirmed.

The government says its main concern is to stop religious violence flaring up. Uttar Pradesh state has a history of clashes between Hindus and Muslims.

Here’s a simple experiment. Go to Google, and search on strings like “bomb church”, “bomb synagogue”, or “bomb temple”. Look at the results which involve actual bombings, and see who did the bombing. Seems like Muslims have a lot of enemies, doesn’t it? If it does seem that way, grasshopper, think again. There is only one enemy: the non-Muslim, the dhimmi. The rest is mere detail.
