The field narrows

I saw that Al Gore has announced that he will not run for President. I think it’s for the best. A second term of the Gore presidency would have been too much for me.

I may as well say it. I’m not running either, nor is my dog.

    I watched Gore discuss this one question for 20 minutes over the weekend. To the best of my knowlegde, given all subtleties of denying one is running for president, Gore has not said he is “not running”. My understanding is he has no plans to run or interest in running.

    Last week Senator Clinton basically announced she is running. And her actual candidacy is one of the forces that could bring Gore in. It’s not like the Democrats have a bucket load of good options, especially now that your dog is out of it.
