Canada supports death to blasphemers
I want to talk a bit about Pakistan, a bit about Canada, and tie the two together with a story about a blogger in a world of trouble.
Pakistan, like the US, has a death penalty. The Pakistani legal code includes capital crimes the US code does not contemplate, such as apostasy against Islam. Here is ACT III OF 1986, CRIMINAL LAW (AMENDMENT) ACT, 198
Insertion of new section 295-C, Act XLV of 1860. In the Pakistan Penal Code (Act XLV of 1860), after section 295-B, the following new section shall be inserted, namely:
295-C.
Use of derogatory remarks, etc. in respect of the Holy Prophet. Whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation, or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to fine.”
Canada has no death penalty. Even better, Canada is officially loathe to extradite anyone to countries which do have a death penalty. Here is the Supreme Court of Canada:
The Court holds that principles of fundamental justice require that (in all but the most exceptional circumstances), the Minister of Justice must, as a condition of extradition to a foreign state, obtain assurances that the death penalty will not be carried out.
Isaac Schrodinger is a Pakistani born blogger, currently living in Canada. He is an ex-Muslim, an apostate. Canada wants to send him back to Pakistan. If Isaac had, say, killed someone in an armed robbery in Texas, Canada would not surrender him to Texas authorities without a court battle. But Canada doesn’t want to extradite Isaac, it wants to deport him to Pakistan. All the difference in the world. A criminal they would fight for, but Isaac is not a criminal. So he is at the mercy of civil servants.
Visit his site, look around. Aggravated, premeditated apostasy. Isaac, I salute you. Thank you. Canada wants to send him to his death. Such is justice in our great northern role model.
If you want to help, the man could use some money to help pay legal expenses. Details on his site. If you are a blogger, post, and give some links to blogs supporting Isaac. Like these guys.
