    I really don’t mind the demagogue Chavez calling George Bush the devil. But I was deeply offended, for reasons I don’t fully understand, when Chavez made the sign of the cross afterwards.

    I guess my Catholic rearing and education are more like my genetic alcoholism than I realized: beating these diseases are one day at a time struggles.
