Bile

I am amazed at the filth some people spew. Here is Tony Hendra writing in the Huffington Post.

I give thanks O Lord for Dick Cheney’s Heart, that brave organ which has done its darn-tootin’ best on four separate occasions to do what we can only dream about.

O Lord, give Dick Cheney’s Heart, Our Sacred Secret Weapon, the strength to try one more time! For greater love hath no heart than that it lay down its life to rid the planet of its Number One Human Tumor.

I suppose this passes for wit in Mr. Hendra’s circles.

Though I am an atheist, I find it disgusting that Mr. Hendra choses to frame his bile as a Thanksgiving prayer. It is an insult to millions of believers, and a pointless one. The device is not very effective, and Hendra drags it on for so long that he exhausts the reader’s patience.
