parenting tips

Children are easily embarrassed by almost anything their parents do. This has its uses. Not too long ago I was picking up my older daughter from ballet practice. She was in a bad mood, and was letting it spill out on me. I told her if she did not straighten up I was going to start dancing, right there, in front of her teachers and fellow students. She changed her tune in a hurry.

    Go, go, go,
    Go, go, go,
    Daddy B. Badd’

  2. My wife and I used to threaten saying the following in public to our sons (now 16 and 19): “I love you. You’ll always be my baby!” Works like a charm.

  3. As Muddy Waters used to sing, “Ain’t that a man?”
