All we are saying is give peace a chance

The pictures above were taken at a Peace rally in San Francisco on 3/18/2007. The one below was taken at a Peace rally in Portland on the same day.

Nothing quite says peace like burning the effigy of a soldier, or calling for the murder of the President. Well, almost nothing. There was this incident in Baghdad on 3/20:

The police said Wednesday that children had been used in a weekend car bombing in which the driver gained permission to park in a busy shopping area after he pointed out that he was leaving his children in the back seat.

Major General Michael Barbero, deputy director for regional operations on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the vehicle used in the attack was waved through a U.S. military checkpoint because two children were visible in the back seat. He said it was the first reported use of children in a car bombing in Baghdad.

“Children in the back seat lowered suspicion,” Barbero told reporters in Washington. “We let it move through. They parked the vehicle. The adults run out and detonate it with the children in the back.”

I wonder, did those children volunteer to stay behind while the brave adult jihadis ran away? Is this little girl with the Al-Qassam Brigades headband a volunteer?

What is the common thread that binds these idealists? I think this guy about sums it up.

Update: and then there’s this.

  1. These people would not know the definition of ‘peace’ if they looked it up in the dictionary.

And there are no words to dissuade these people from their hate, deceit, or sedition. There are words to decsribe them though: parasites & hypocrites.

    ~Any arrests yet?
