You say tomato
I heard on TV that police intend to go through cell phone records and email in order to understand why Cho Seung Hui killed a bunch of people at Virginia Tech.
Who could have imagined the police would do that? When I first heard this reported as if it were news, I thought “good luck with that. The man was evil, maybe crazy. There is no reason to be found. This was stupid, senseless evil.”
Had Cho Seung Hui been a jihadi, his actions and motives would be perfectly transparent. He would be an example to his brothers, a role model for children. A martyr, and a pretty damned effective one. Someone to be respected and honored in this world and the next.
But instead Cho Seung Hui is the most pathetic sort of human failure. Sometimes it’s hard to tell things apart.
