Asturias

There is probably no such thing as the greatest guitarist in the world. But if there were, John Williams might be the man. The piece, by Spanish composer Isaac Albeniz, was originally written for piano. I think it sounds better on guitar, but it takes a hell of a guitarist…

    Beautiful. Reminds me of the time, in my last year of college, the International Student Union brought Andre Segovia to play. Wanna see another fella pick and slide? Gooogle Leo Kottke’s “Vasoline Machinegun”, not as elegant as Mr. Williams yet entertaining still.
